Simple does not always translate as easy

Published December 30, 2012 by scenickviewz

Simple does not always translate as easy. You can change your

life with a simple shifting of your thoughts and focus. Focus on

being in a state of gratitude and love instead of fear and worry.

When are being gratitude, fear cannot exist. Simply maintain an

attitude of gratitude no matter what situations arise in life. Never

claimed that would be easy thing to do. Just like most worthwhile

endeavors in life it takes practice, perseverance and most of all a

will to see things as they could be not as they are now.

Never take for granted the immense power we all possess to touch the lives of others

Published December 27, 2012 by scenickviewz

Of all the blessings this life holds some of the most powerful ones

can only be felt by the soul. Seeing and understanding another’s

pain, reaching a hand out to just say I am here, I care. A word,

phrase or gesture, so trivial to you can be a miracle to another.

Knowing that someone cares for you, in an often seeming

uncaring world, can move a heart out of loneliness and into the

light. Never take for granted the immense power we all possess

to touch the lives of others. Never forget our own power to treat

ourselves with the same love, compassion, caring, forgiveness

and grace we so quickly extend to another, yet too often withhold

from ourselves. Be your own blessing, today and every day, for

you are so very worth it. Namaste. ♥ Robin ♥

Sending FREE distant Reiki on Thursdays starting at 9:00 PM ET.

Published December 27, 2012 by scenickviewz

Please share this event with friends if you are so inclined. I am a Reiki Master Teacher and will be sending FREE distant Reiki on Thursdays starting at 9:00 PM ET.
You do not have to do anything special, be anywhere special, just be open to receive. Other Reiki Practitioners are welcome to join in the sending and of course receiving too.
Feel free to post a name on the event wall of a person, place or pet/wild animal or your wild animal pet! All are welcome!!

What is ReiKi?
Reiki is the Japanese word for “Spiritual life force energy”. Reiki is not a religion, or a new-age practice but is an ancient healing art from Japan.
Reiki practitioners do not heal, they merely act as a channel for this Life force energy.

It is also not intended to take the place of traditional medical practices, but to compliment them.

Reiki will instinctively go where it is needed, Mind, Body and Spirit. It is gentle, non-invasive and free for the soul to refuse at any time.

Expand the horizon of your mind,

Published December 26, 2012 by scenickviewz

Expand the horizon of your mind, do a new thing each day, something you have never done, thought,
said or imagined before. Allow the brain time to stretch, to play, daydream and create.  Sometimes like
magic a solution, an idea, or inspiration will appear after the brain has had time to romp and play.

I am blessed to have been witness to some amazing miracles in my life

Published December 23, 2012 by scenickviewz

I am blessed to have been witness to some amazing miracles in my life, some at Christmas more often others not.  The one Christmas miracle that always comes to mind is the following tale, a true story.

For a number of years I was an assistant manager at a Toy store, a larger chain, no not the one you are probably thinking of, but as close as it Kan Be. 😉  As you can image this season in a toy store is.. hectic to say the least.  One afternoon I noticed an older couple, grandparents shopping for their grandchildren.  While straightening the aisle where they were shopping I could not help but overhear their conversation.  They were on very limited funds, both retired and trying to stretch a very small amount to cover a very large amount of Grand kids.  My heart went out to them, so I went to my manager, a great friend and awesome person herself, and told her the tale.  We proceeded to go into the back room and take out the boxes of clearance toys, mark them down even further, and load them in a cart.  We took the cart and offered first pick to the older couple.  The tears shone in all of our eyes as we watched them exclaim with delight over the new purchasing power their small sum of funds now had.  Going back to the cash register, I was smiling ear to ear through my tears.  Then a woman, obviously well dressed and well off financially asked me an odd question.  She asked if she bought a gift certificate was there any way for the receiver to know who purchased it.  I told her no.  So she purchased one for a decent amount and asked me to hold it at the register, she would be sending someone to pick it up.  Thinking that was odd, but not the oddest thing that can happen in a Toy store around Christmas I added the card to my safe and started helping other customers.

In a few minutes I noticed the older couple standing by the register, looking around quizzically.  Going over to them, I offered my assistance.  The lady replied that a woman elegantly dressed came up to them in the aisle and told them to come see me at the register, that they had won a free gift certificate.  My team and I were amazed, both at the generosity of the nameless benefactor and at the witnessing of a miracle.  As I handed them the certificate, they looked at the denomination and their eyes grew wide.  “Now we can buy them ALL the presents we wanted to!” the woman exclaimed with delight.  For the second time that day there was not a dry eye to be found amongst the team behind the register.  With tears streaming down, one of us rang up their purchases, another of my associates was wrapping their presents with paper for them, as the lady had difficulty using her hands.  Presents wrapped, tied with bows, we sent another associate to help them home with their gifts.  They lived across the street and had walked over.  With three carts in tow, two of the happiest people I have ever seen in my life went home, looking forward to the joy on their grand-children’s faces.

As I stood there that day and sit here still today, I am awed and amazed by the events of that day.  I never did get any of their names, but they will be forever in my mind and heart, not just Christmas but for all time.  A miracle is like that, you never forget it.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  ♥ Robin ♥

What better gift on Earth?

Published December 23, 2012 by scenickviewz

In the end it will not be the fancy wrapping paper that will be a cherished memory. Long after the toys have broken and the clothes been outgrown.  Lasting longer than the scrumptious dinner will on your things (maybe) and the sparkle of new gems. What will last is the memory made with loved ones, the little moments of grace that make the holiday bright.  A laughter filled, love overflowing holiday full of all the things that make your heart sing is my wish for each and every one of you. As we celebrate of course we remember loved ones no longer here with fondness and probably more than just a little sadness too.  Believe they are up above, all smiling down on you and wishing for only your happiness to shine it’s special light on them.  As you celebrate and be merry know that brings joy to heaven above, that angels sing when you lift your voice in merriment. And what better gift on earth is there than to know a singing angel is smiling down on you?
Peace be with you, my friends.  Namaste. ♥ Robin ♥

Giving gifts is an amazingly fun process.

Giving gifts is an amazingly fun process. As you think about your loved ones, finding or hand making the perfect something, picturing their reaction in your mind brings pleasure to the soul. Baking with love fills the goodies with so much more than mere spices. They can feel the love as they bite into that
warm gingerbread, made just for them. Wrapping that gift while thinking about dear ones sends positive energy their way. Near or far, we are connected with divine love, our souls touching in the

If your budget allows, give also gifts to any worthwhile charities that touch your heart.

Sometimes that one thing can be the only gift some person or animal receives. Just knowing that an unknown someone cares can move a soul to keep trying one more day. Blessings to you and yours as you go about your holiday preparations. ♥ Robin ♥
