Silence no longer suits the situation, things that are revealed in the absence of noise need to be addressed. Apathy is no longer an acceptable solution to the issues facing our world today. Action is necessary to sustain life on this planet for future generations. We have raped and pillaged this planet to the point of almost no return. Monsters with eight arms and no fear are breeding in the seas, unchecked, due to humans overfishing the waters and killing their natural predators to the point of extinction. On land, very few of the larger mammals, except for humans, are not in danger of extinction in this generation. When will humans walking this earth today wake up? Some have it is true, committed individuals who are banding together to bring about change. But the world needs more, many more, and for the children being born to be educated on the vital necessity of preservation of the earth. Before we turn this paradise into a wasteland, forever. ♥ Robin ♥
Every once in a while something touches you on such a deep level you feel changed forever. Some people in my life have said I am strong; however let me define what to me true strength is. To lose a child before you even got a chance to know them, to pick up those pieces and go on to inspire others to create hope on butterfly wings. That is strength. To carry on with a smile on your face and song in your heart, after you have had a major, life changing illness and lost a loved one in less than six months. That is strength. To hold the hand of someone who is passing over, ease their burden, even though it makes your own heavier. That is strength. To try and rescue one more animal, find one more loving home, care for one more beating heart, one more living, breathing creature. That is strength. To lose loved children to an unfair and unjust system, and still live for them. That is strength. To move yourself and your family to a new, unfamiliar place and create a wonderful new life. That is strength. To raise your daughter with unconditional love, compassion and humor after her mother has committed what to most would be an unthinkable, unforgivable act and to teach that child to forgive. That is strength. If I am strong, it is due to all of these amazing people, wonderful Earth Angels who have blessed my life and continue to do so. The world is full of unsung heroes wearing the guise of ordinary people. Look around you, how many do you see?
If the only thing you do in life is to help one person in some way, it will be enough. If you stand up to a bully, and create a better situation for all, it will be more than enough. This world needs it’s every day heroes, the ones who refuse to give in or back down, to be pushed around. Those people who fill this role, in their own life and for others, are a special kind of earth Angel. An Angel who needs no recognition and does these things because not doing them is too painful, too unsettling. True heroes do not always wear fancy costumes or have elaborate lairs, the come in the guise of an ordinary person, who is committed to living an extraordinary life.
Sometimes I forget, I think maybe everyone has once or twice at least. We wake and are off and running at times before we have even truly appreciated the miracle that happened first thing in the morning. We Woke Up. That in itself is the thing I think we all forget at times. What a miracle it is just to wake up in the morning. Invitation extended to be aware, appreciative and grateful for just waking up.
I believe in miracles. They do not have to arrive pulled by Pegasi in a Golden Carriage laden with Angels. They most often arrive softly, with little or no fanfare, and many can be seen only in hindsight or felt with the heart. Be open and expect that miracles are real, commonplace and bound to happen in your life. For some, simply waking up in the morning, or another breath are miracles. Change the way you view a miracle, and you will see them in some fashion everywhere.
Since the beginning I have been there. Cheering with as you triumph, seeing you take baby steps towards goals. Grieving with your losses, allowing you to rest your head on my shoulder and draw strength in times of need. Laughing, crying, loving, living, giving, celebrating and saying good bye. What an amazing journey this is, has been and continues to be. Thank you my child, loving you is a gift beyond compare.~
Love and loving never diminishes a person, for love by its very nature knows only how to expand. False expectations, trying to make your partner, child, parent, “fit into” what you think they should be is not love. That is judgment and has nothing to do with love. What would happen if you were to be able to see everyone only through the eyes of love? All color, race, sexual orientation, handicaps would disappear for those are labels and judgments, not love. Just for one day I invite you to let go and see only with the eyes of love. You may discover this is the first day you have ever really “seen” anyone.
