So SHHHH!!! I am not simply doing nothing, I am merely practicing silence.

Sometimes silence speaks in the loudest voice of all.  There is more to be heard in the pauses between words as in the actual words themselves at times.  One form of silence I like is silencing the mind, the endless internal chatter that we all have, sometimes only fills our days thoughts with much ado about nothing, really.  When we silence the mind the voice of the soul, the inner knowing, can speak to us clearly.  There is much clarity to be gained in silence, much growth to be obtained by silencing our own thoughts daily, as a daily practice.  This alone can bring about incredible, positive changes in our lives.  So SHHHH!!! I am not simply doing nothing, I am merely practicing silence.  ♥ Robin ♥

Now I find it difficult to believe in humans being humane beings….

 

What did I do wrong? What did I do to deserve this? Looking around in scared confusion, all the people, the noises, the lights and worst of all the cages. I have never been in a cage before. Now instead of a home with a soft bed I have a cold, hard plastic cage bottom with a little thin blanket. As I watched you walk out of the door after dropping me off I knew you loved me and would be right back. So I waited. And waited. As the hours started to go by, as the people who look into my cage started to pass over me to the smaller, younger cats I started to loose hope. You were never coming back. I still do not know what I did wrong, who this person who adopted me FOR LIFE was, my life is far from over yet here I sit. Luckily, so I am told, a no-kill pet shelter has taken me back into their care instead of me winding up at the pound. I do not feel so lucky. I feel depressed, lonely, scared and hopeless. I was your baby, you bought me toys, a bed, food and shelter and said you loved me. Now I find it difficult to believe in humans being humane beings. As the people leave the store for the day, and the night begins, I hunker down on my blanket and try to sleep, the only refuge I have left and then only at night. Tomorrow will start all too soon, with the people and lights again. My happy world has been shattered. I still do not know what I did wrong, what I did to deserve this. I will never know, really. Now I have to hope that a person who really loves me will find me, look past all the baby kittens, to find me. I am only a year old, yet already I am ‘too big’. Why do people want babies only? We all grow up, all of us. We all get older and we all deserve forever homes. I ask you, on behalf of myself and all the others like me, if you cannot commit for LIFE, my whole life or yours, whichever ends first, then do not adopt me. Leave the adoption center and leave me there, where as a baby kitten I can find my forever home. Don’t take me into your home and heart just to cast me out again. I did nothing wrong, and did nothing to deserve this. Nothing.

What is coming up for me today is restfulness.  Really resting our minds, bodies and spirits so they can be rejuvenated.  Sending peace and rest along with tonight’s Reiki.  Thank you for all who attend, share, participate and hold others in your thoughts and prayers.

Yet certain challenges have come up lately that require a heaping helping of forgiveness potion which I seem to have misplaced temporarily

I have been better, I have been worse.  I realize how much there is to be grateful for every day.  Just waking up is a miracle really. I am lucky enough to have friends who are like family, family who are family. And of course my fur-mily, who make me smile every day and fill my life with unconditional love.  Yet certain challenges have come up lately that require a heaping helping of forgiveness potion which I seem to have misplaced temporarily.  This too shall pass I know. So for now taking it one day at a time, and glad to be back writing again.  I truly do appreciate everyone who takes the time to read my silly ramblings.

Silence no longer suits the situation, things that are revealed in the absence of noise need to be addressed. Apathy is no longer an acceptable solution to the issues facing our world today. Action is necessary to sustain life on this planet for future generations. We have raped and pillaged this planet to the point of almost no return. Monsters with eight arms and no fear are breeding in the seas, unchecked, due to humans overfishing the waters and killing their natural predators to the point of extinction. On land, very few of the larger mammals, except for humans, are not in danger of extinction in this generation. When will humans walking this earth today wake up? Some have it is true, committed individuals who are banding together to bring about change. But the world needs more,many more, and for the children being born to be educated on the vital necessity of preservation of the earth. Before we turn this paradise into a wasteland, forever. ♥ Robin ♥

Today my focus is going to be on a peaceful resolution to differences, a realization we are all one and no one is alone. All are invited to join the sending/receiving of this gift, the gift of Reiki which does not come from me rather from a loving Universe. Namaste.

That is strength. If I am strong, it is due to all of these amazing people, wonderful Earth Angels who have blessed my life and continue to do so.

 

Every once in a while something touches you on such a deep level you feel changed forever. Some people in my life have said I am strong; however let me define what to me true strength is. To lose a child before you even got a chance to know them, to pick up those pieces and go on to inspire others to create hope on butterfly wings. That is strength. To carry on with a smile on your face and song in your heart, after you have had a major, life changing illness and lost a loved one in less than six months. That is strength. To hold the hand of someone who is passing over, ease their burden, even though it makes your own heavier. That is strength. To try and rescue one more animal, find one more loving home, care for one more beating heart, one more living, breathing creature. That is strength. To lose loved children to an unfair and unjust system, and still live for them. That is strength. To move yourself and your family to a new, unfamiliar place and create a wonderful new life. That is strength. To raise your daughter with unconditional love, compassion and humor after her mother has committed what to most would be an unthinkable, unforgivable act and to teach that child to forgive. That is strength. If I am strong, it is due to all of these amazing people, wonderful Earth Angels who have blessed my life and continue to do so. The world is full of unsung heroes wearing the guise of ordinary people. Look around you, how many do you see?

So up to you I went, smiling widely, and told possibly the worst joke ever created.

Saw you standing there, looking so forlorn and sad, knew our paths had crossed for a reason. Thought that reason was to lighten your burden, tell a silly joke, make you smile. So up to you I went, smiling widely, and told possibly the worst joke ever created. Yet through the magic that is the power of Universal Love first you began to grin, then chuckle, then laugh hysterically, so did I, till tears were streaming down both of our faces. After the giggling subsided, you thanked me. I however felt the thanks should be mine, because that is what we incarnate on earth to do. To be there for each other, to see someone who may be suffering and lighten their burden. To share smiles, laughter and unconditional love wherever we happen to be.
